What is there a world cup on???

Just kidding Reg........ yes sat up last night to witness the worst Aussie performance in years But props to the Brits for the 1st half they played very well, 2nd half...well only our incompetence kept you in the game, but in the end had Sterling kicked the goal it would have been unjust the Brits deserved the win.

As for France.....someone test the water in the changing room cause I've never seen such a change in NZ in 10mins they had the frogs done and dusted..all over, read the obit....then they let them back in and let them ahead then couldn't score points

Ah well thats footy penthouse to outhouse, coach should be sacked (and prob will be) for the changes he made.

Good luck to Fiji and the Argies tonight

Maybe its the sheer pressure of expectation Sean, especially so with the 2 teams that went out yesterday IMO. And lets face it, its not like they get the to rectify things 12 months or so later. 4 years is a long wait, too long for some of those players!

Still, obviously someone still has to 'win' a game but it is curious how a sides form and confidence can suddenly dip when they need it most.

Not sure what going on in that photo....maybe they've just found out their esky's been stolen, and that someone filled it with Tooheys rather than real beer first thing!

Either way get a load of the guy about to cut his mates throat with what looks like a screwdriver?

When I first saw this pic I just assumed it was taken at the Annual Australian Arbor Conference, just at the moment the Arb Association told the audience they weren't allowed to top trees anymore.

You got it all wrong.

The Yanks are like "Certified" players. It's like hardhats for arborists.

England beat the French to reach the final. Wasn't pretty but a win is a win.

Just goes to show, guts and determination can go along way, if not all the way.

Who would have believed it after taking such a hiding from South Africa earlier in the contest! Great sporting tournament!

Yes well done England though I was going for Le Blue! Ah well they had their chances neither side played very entertaining footy but finals can often be like that, emphasis on not losing rather than winning......go the Argies.

I noticed the big bloke with the beard was on all fours crying after it ended. I'd have loved to have been there at that point just to kick him up the arse.

Of course after which I'd have to run like hell!

South Africa win the World Cup. Well done!

Very sloppy showing from England, too many silly mistakes for which they were punished.

Wilkinson, was he even on the pitch? I can't say I noticed. Doesn't look the kicker of 4 years ago, thats for sure.

Reg, the English backline lacked any real structure and plan a couple of promising breaks but nothing beyond individual brilliance, no pattern...and the line outs!!!!

Congrats to SAfrica but feel robbed it wasn't NZ Vs SA...roll on the rule changes.

Oh yes magic that the Argies beat France too

Congrats to SA

Saw some highlights ... but only remembered that SA and Australia are the only two countries that have won it twice.

I think Argetina come out of this as winners also, and perhaps Fiji. But in hidsight, how the hell did the French team, who were just thrashed by the Argies, beat the Allblacks? On papers at least, it just looks weird.

Rule changes or not, they're still the same for everyone. Anyhow, at least England managed to give the Aussies a spanking, again!

Sadly for us......and English rugby they played their best in the first half of that game against us.

Not only were they woeful in the final so were SA, in a part of the country obsessed with rugby league that game has set real footy back about 5yrs up here. The administrators of Australian Rugby League must be rubbing their hands together in glee.....reduce the value for drop goals and penalties, increase the advantage to the attacking side, encourage flair attacking footy or else it will be the other code that absorbs union not the other way around.
