Back during christmas time my parents bought this remote control helicopter. It wasnt *for* anyone, they just got it cuz the family was all going to be here, just as something to play around with. Well, christmas came, and went, and they had forgotten that they bought it. Mom found it today, so I read the instruction manual and charged it up. This thing is SOOO MUCH FUN!!! I've been flying it all over the inside of the house for the last hour. Cruising around...chasing the dog with it, practicing my landings on countertops and smooth take-offs. If anyone needs something to kill some stress or just let you relax a little, you should definitely get one. Really fun stuff. Anyone else have one of these things? |

Straight out of the box, this one prefers to have a verrrrrry slight forward tilt... the biggest problem is getting the trim adjusted so that it hovers without going side to side. You attatch these sticky rubber weights to the underside of the nose, which gives it more pronounced forward movement for its flight. I've got about 4 of them stuck on it in the very front, so that as long as I keep varying the degree of boost I'm putting to the rotors, it doesnt dip too low or shoot up too hight... it takes a while to learn to feather it. Turning is also a skill.... minute flicks, coupled with some counter-flicks to keep it true to the direction you intend. Sometimes you overdo it though and you gotta let it go all the way around and then try to correct it directionally on the next spin. Once you get the right amount of weight for the way you like to fly, and the trim dialed in, its pretty accurate though. I can fly it in and out of rooms and around the house. |
