|  Record Heat Wave in Adelaide We have had 11 days of 35C (95F) or above temperature. The hottest has been 43C (109F) Adelaide smashes heatwave record - ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation) It's a national record! woohoo. The weather bureau reckons there is still another six days to come.

| Re: Record Heat Wave in Adelaide No decent rain since December either. Strong winds predicted for today, the place is like a tinderbox, every fireman from here to the black stump is on red alert.  The police have been running a campaign called "Operation Nomad", they go round to the houses of known arsonists on days like today and let them know that they are being watched. (smart move i reckon)
