Prisoner Cell Block H?

Just thought some of you Aussies might be interested to know......

Your Prisoner Cell Block H was a cult hit in the UK a few years back......God only knows why?? it was probably the most depressing television show ever commissioned!!

It made the UK's gritty social realism TV dramas look like 'Cheers'.

I would be grateful if you could tell me why it was such a success in Oz and the UK? Oh and why do Aussies do 'depressing stuff' so well?

Remember this lot? Jesus! I'd thought I'd banished this show from my mind then I found it while looking for Prisoner pics, thanks guys, The Sullivans.......I'd rather watch paint dry..

I dont watch main stream TV especially that sort of crap.

To the day I dont understand either nor the success of such crap as Big Brother

I liked prisoner,Queen bee was way cool.The episode where she put the girls head under an irioning press was a highlight!

Like we used to watch that on TV as kids, now a days it'd be banned!

How bad was the fake slapping though, real soap opera stuff.

MB would of had it easy in prison, peado's and sex offenders usually get segregated from mainstream inmates,just in case the poor little perverts cop a bashing..

Hence the reason his kind never learn their lesson and carry on their hiddeous crimes!

I remember reading he had the '''largest amount of underage porn ever seized''' I'd go so far to say he was idolized by the other perverts, hero worshipped even.

Maybe thats why he's such a control freak and can't handle rejection!
