The woman who helped raise the alarm about former NSW Aboriginal Affairs Minister Milton Orkopoulos has been fired by the state parliament from her electorate office job.

Gillian Sneddon, Orkopoulos' former electorate officer in the Hunter seat of Swansea, was the first to take a complaint from one of the former minister's victims, and cooperated with police to collect evidence from her workplace.

Orkopoulos was found guilty of 28 paedophilia and drug charges yesterday, including eight counts of having homosexual intercourse with a minor, 13 counts of supplying cannabis, four counts of supplying heroin, and three counts of indecent assault on a minor.

Ms Sneddon maintains that Orkopoulos barred her from his office in 2006 when he discovered that she was helping the police.

According to Fairfax newspapers, she was then dismissed from her job the day she began to give evidence in his trial last month. More ....

Never ceases to surprise me the BS, cover ups and criminal behaviour that exists. This one should bust open an enquiry, the whistle blower is now on workers compo for stress etc sucking on the system ... coz the system shit on her.

That's terrible, loosing your job for exposing a peed.
That sort of crap hardly inspires others to help expose these scum SMF'rs.

Does this mean that parliament will act to clear her name, or that parliament is telling the press to buzz off?

In the usa it is not easy, but govt will act to help whistleblowers.

Won't even get the death penalty I'll bet

Probably be allowed to keep all his assets, do a little time and then move to Thailand or some other place where he can continue to ruin childs lives.
