|  No free Santa anymore? Not from the BIG RETAILERS and SHOPPING MALLS! It's not till you have your own little kids that you realize the importance of this. Even the giant Myers has a pay for Santa policy unlike the days we'd queue in the toy area to get a few lollies off Santa. The malls don't put one up either, but in the mall closest to me LOGAN HYPERDOME they went one step better. They commissioned the lil kids indoor play area for Santa. Yes, they dressed it all up pretty with trees and tinsel and fake presents in large wrapped boxes. My kids wanted to go in there and play ... ... but the sign says, closed from 6 November to 27 December for Santa and the minimum package to see Santa is $22! Here's what I think of the BILLION DOLLAR BUSINESSES Christmas spirit.  I have watched this rip off phenomena get worse as years go by, Christmas is just a time for more profit making screw anything ethical or decent about it for many of these HUGE CONGLOMERATES. Have you noticed big business is just getting greedier and greedier. You cant walk down the center of that mall anymore for all the new shops that have been errected in the middle, it's a bloody traffic jam. They couldn't leave a spot for themselves for Santa and overtook the lil kids playground! They couldn't make one shop in the middle wait a few months to get Christmas passed so they could have Santa there could they! Oh no, they gotta get more PROFIT! Then the sign says the kids can go out to the other playground outside. Well that's totally unsuitable to lil kids and not the same style of play ground the under say 7yo's enjoy. Anyone else noticing this disgusting trend? List them here, screw them, disgusting beasts!

Not long ago a few "other" religions wanted Christmas etc banned from schools coz their "brainwashed disciples" believed in something other than Christmas ... even ole Johnny Howard told them to pull there heads in. You dont have to believe in much these days to realise there's to be one special day that hopefully suits all for the right reasons to be decent on this planet. Its still free here but the way things seem to be going not for long.Geez what the hell is going on in the world today to where they have to nickel and dime everything they possibly can oh and here in america the government says its politically incorrect to say merry christmas you have to say happy holidays so no one gets offended.i'm with ekka all these big buisnesses trying to make a buck off of everything.Hell a lot has changed since i was 7 and going to see a mall santa.I remember every christmas the first thing when we woke up my grandma made a huge breakfast and the whole family came over my grandad said a prayer and gave thanks and after that we opened gifts and went to church that evening and we also went caroling.i plan to do the same with my kids someday when I have kids that is.

| Re: No free Santa anymore? When we were on the Gold Coast wasn't a free Santa in Pacific Fair shopping center either ... another pay service. But this really stinks coz they took the kids play area!

| Re: No free Santa anymore? No no, the kids cant play, they unlock the play area for Santa times at $22 minimum a pop and too bad for the kids who want to play in there. It's pay and visit Santa and that's that! Obviously these type of "business people" dont have kids, dont understand the reward the kids get for being good and having a play for 15 minutes in there ... it's just get the profit up a tad more and maybe get a bonus. My kids reckons that Santa's mean not letting them play there anymore. So much for Christmas spirit from these types ... and you'll find very few free Santa's from these HUGE STORES!

| Re: No free Santa anymore?  Hey, I'm only pulling these from Qld tourism, all complaints re inaccuracies must be directed there  Plus there's less people living in our whole country than live in Greater London, so does it really matter...just drive around you'll find it eventually
