The myki ticketing system has been criticised on a number of grounds:

A total cost of around $1.35 billion. $494 million for start up and $50–55 million per year to run the system along with other associated costs

Wouldn't 1.35billion pay ALOT of staff?I just don't get this sort of waste of $$$

So all the millions spent on the last ticketing system is going to waste now? Now that's a true government/private partnership! See how much money private enterprise saves?
