That latest Batman is going nuts alright.

But aint the top one .... yet.

Dark Knight fastest to $300 million | Reuters

I always wonder whether the box office $ takings are the right measure .... after all prices go up so is there a true comparison made? I think like music it should be tickets sold.

What did you pay to see Titanic years ago compared to going to a flick now?

Mmm all my mates were going off about Ironman when it came out... I wasn't fussed but after watching that trailer I might have to see it.

You know what movie is sahhhhh-weeeeeeet Lord of War. Mad movie.

Also I can't get over them CGI-Animation movies - Pixar is my favourite then Dreamworks. Cars is my all time no. 1, love that movie. Then The incredibles, BUT OMG Ratatouie SUCKED! Only one i've ever gone to see in the movies and it SUCKED, it put me to sleep. Then from Dreamworks, Shark Tale is my favourite, Will Smith is HILARIOUS in it and alot of other high profile hollywood names in it too.

Ice Age 3 coming out next year, with dinosaurs in it so that looks good. No. 1 was a classic, 2 was a flop... Cmon lucky 3.

Oooh, Rocky No. 1 was the best then 2, then 5 then 3 and 4. Still havn't seen Rocky Balboa yet though, did have it on DVD but havn't seen that thing in ages.

If you're into lifting weights then Pumping Iron by Arnie is a sweet/motivational watch.

I haven't seen the Dark Knight yet (new batman flick) but I did just see Batman Begins at my parents house a month or so ago. What a great movie. I think it's my fav in the Batman movies so far.

Gladiator was a good film. I'm a softie so I shed a tear when it got really sad.

Oh, if you wanna score brownie points with your girl (or if you're just one of you old bastards and you wanna have sex for the 2nd time this year) go rent "The Notebook" and watch it with your sweetie. Good chick flick.

I just saw Alice in Wonderland for the first time not too long ago. Dang now that is a creepy film.

Um, oh, just saw "Mirrors" the other day at the theatre with my girl. Horror movie. I guess it was okay. Actually pretty spooky at some parts and not as stupid as alot of them. Probably worth seeing if you like that stuff.

Wow, some killer movies in this thread and I like almost all of em. Tough to pick a top 5 but here's my 1st go.

Matrix......"I know kung fu....Show me"
The Italian Job (original with Michael Caine) "Your only supposed to blow the bloody doors off!"
Gladiator "We who are about to die salute you"
Something about Mary "aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrggghhhhh (penis caught in zipper)".
Zulu "They have a good bass but no baritone...."

These are in no particular order and if I spent another 5 minutes I would probably come up with another 45.

For my money, the latest Batman was a great movie. Heath Ledgar was simply chilling as The Joker. Watch for the pencil trick.

I was just about to say, better known to some as "The Professional".

Gary was good in it I agree, his intensity made the film so much better.
