Hate that BSOD the trusty ole laptop doesn't mess up too much thankfully...unlike the brand new PC which has spent more time back at the shop than at our place..

Haha, trust windows to do that.. They needa Mac lol. Have you seen them ad's that apple is putting out? Talk about kicking Microsoft in the balls.

Anyone got Vista yet? I'm about to buy a laptop and it's coming with Vista and from the preview it looks it runs pretty sweet.

Hold off!

Many bugs with Vista, some software not running on it too.

Start Google searching, PC forums would be best. I haven't heard 1 good thing about it and XP is off the shelves

Mmm, thanks for the heads up I'll go down to my local LAN soon and see what the bloke their says about it. The laptop is a steal, Vista just comes pre-installed. If it sucks I'll just format and install XP.

My new laptop came with Vista.

Similar to XP in some regards, but I like XP a bit better.

Also true that a few non-Microsoft software won't work yet. But none too major for me.

But if I were to build a desktop this moment, I'd put the XP in it.
