Default Wild wallaby's terrorising aged people

Townsville seniors in fear over rogue wallabies | Townsville Bulletin News

Quote:
October 30th, 2008

WILD wallabies are terrorising a Townsville retirement village, knocking over residents and defecating on lawns and patios.

Residents at Carlyle Gardens are said to be too afraid to leave their homes when the 100-strong mob runs amok in the early mornings and late afternoons.

The wallabies are crashing into cars, scooters and even elderly residents.

This is typical roo's running amuck given numbers for safety, My younger brother lives at St georges basin and the roo's run the streets down there at times.

It's usually the tourist that get hurt by these roo's trying to feed them! Some of the big bucks have arms a weight lifter would be proud of.

Dont feed them, Dont try and pat them, and look from a distance and your reasonably safe.

If they are hurting the elderly they need to be relocated or culled!

Hmm JayD what town does he live in. I out this way.

Did culling for two years on kangaroo's out here.Wasn't bad money until the ass fell out of the market and fuel got so dam expensive.
Not much size out this way anymore, when town was booming there was about sixty to seventy shooters in town including myself.Alot of people have given it away here including me,but there are some that still go,if you don't you loose the property your on to other shooters.
The industry out here has been going for about fifty or sixty years I think, and the roo's there still thik in places. The crash of the market has done them well though, about time they gave them a rest.

Source: Canberra man forced to evict break-and-enter roo... in a headlock > National > LIVENEWS.com.au
Quote:
Moments later a kangaroo burst through a three metre high window in the master bedroom and onto the bed where Beat Ettlin his partner Verity Beman and their nine-year-old daughter Beatrix lay.

While the family took refuge under the blankets the injured animal proceeded to jump on top of them, gouging holes in the furniture and smearing blood all over the walls.

The roo then went to their 10-year-old son Leighton's room so Mr Ettlin went after it, wrestled it into a headlock and dragged it out the front door.
