Default Inherited an old shotgun

Ack! I inherited a Remington 12ga shotgun built on Browning's A-5 patent. It's got the high shoulder on the back of the receiver, distinct of this particular shotugn.

Problem is... I was field stripping it for cleaning purposes... took the locking nut off, took the barrel and fore-end off.... cleaned it all up.

Then couldnt get the forend and barrel back on! If you line them up, the barrel's pieces dont fit on the forend, the forend wont alow the barrel's pieces to lock in.... I cant get one on without the other. It's maddening, I cant figure out where I went wrong....

I'm trying now (unsucessfully) to find user manual for the Browning A-5 12guage semi-automatic shotgun built by Remington. Completely maddening.

Anyone out there have one and know what I'm talking about?

How did this turn into a pot smoking post? Am I missing something here?

Yeah I've got 8 shotguns now Ekka.

I actually got it in last night after another hour or so of tinkering with it. Everything has to be *JUST* right to get it into place. If one little sequence is out of place, the whole thing wont work.

Now I'm trying to figure out how to get the 12 guage Stevens 820B pump shotty apart.
