Default I flew Tiger Airways

Twas a bit of a gamble but happy to report, paid off. Took 3 to Sydney for day trip and cost $ less than 1 vs other carriers and all went well just 20 min delay outta Melb due to gear fault the home trip on time all good.
After watchin some Tv shows of late about grief from flying with this mob and reading many web reviews of how bad. It kinda became an act of facin ones fear a dare or like an extreme danger sport to see if twas as all claimed. So I did make sure to have a plan B up my sleeve. Yup, I will go again see if I just got lucky.

hahahaha Tiger Airways... Only flew Tiger once in Thailand, the rest of the flights were Air Asia, including the 9-hour back to Darwin. Multiple hours stuck in NON-RECLINING SEAT WITH KNEES TOUCHING SEAT IN FRONT.. Tiger seems dandy by comparison!

Not worth the risk IMHO flew with them a few times always late rude staff rediculous check in times, and quick with any extras.

There cage they keep you in at Melbourne before you walk the tarmac really sets it off,I did fly during a heatwave of 45c+ which made it worse.

How can you be happy "Delayed due to gear fault"

Ha, thats true those gates at Melb looked like a death camp or gaol. The "gear" fault was a just blow landing light bulb not mechanical. well thats what they said eh.. For me the staff were sweet and with webcheck & no bags to check in you can rock up at the gate seat allocated ticket in hand, just don't be late.

Must say with smile I had about 10 plus hard core followers of Alla/Mohamed on board all around me. Twas tryin hard not to profile but 2 weeks after Bin Larden tis hard. Anyhoo thinkin oh well 72 virgins etc but when one got out the safety card and read it back to back I was a tad happier.

The risk is the rush, like in extreme sports .

Oh dear got flights booked later this month, news reports looking a wee grim oh well.

Is it just me or is Tigers failings not so bad when you recall what Qantas/jetstar be up to as of late Qantas mishaps since 2006 | News.com.au

These incidents plus perpetual infighting staff vs management and heavy maintenance done in Asia.
So who's pulling strings to be rid of the competition or is Tiger not to be trusted, its hard to tell from the ground.

I'm going back to Virgin if by weeks end it all goes bad

Service Disruption | Virgin Australia

Virgin Australia has put measures in place to assist as many affected Tiger Airways travellers as possible over the coming week.
We will offer extra capacity and special fares to assist disrupted Tiger Airways passengers for travel up to July 8.
Please note that these fares are subject to availability and therefore may not be available on every flight

I guess they call it "Tiger" Airways because of all the clawsmarks in the cabin made by panicking first-time flyers.

Got up at 4am to catch a flight to newcastle at 640 with jetstar,at the airport at 5.50am time i got to the check in and seen a huge mob of people in knew there was trouble...the scanning machines were not working it was a "manual"cxheck in time i got to counter 2 minutes late and "sorry sir you will need to catch flight and an extra $80"

These "budget" airlines really are "budget" theres alot to be said for a bit of service.

Now that would get my dander up, I tend to use the web check so you got boarding pass in hand when ya got no bags to check in it works well.

I found a trick at the long term park to, take the second entry around the corner then cruise the backwash bays here right next to the exit gate. More often I get lucky & from here tis just a short walk. Beats the back paddock & the bus to the terminal.
