| Years back, I found a small book called Sexual Encounters of the Floral Kind. Great book. A search for that title today, showed many links for Video under the same name. One plant I enjoyed learning about, was a dioecious aquatic plant where the male and female plants send stems and flowers to the surface. The male flowers come loose, and float to the female flowers. When they arrive, they break the water tension and the current flows them into the female flower where pollination occurs. It also covers that OAK GALLS and wasps that I posted a photo of in the photo forum. If the videos are comparable, they are probably very educational and enjoyable. |
