Default Home Brewers, beer wine and spirits

I brew my own beer, at a micro brewery.

I used to home brew but got sick of the work and the mess, especially bottling. Now a days I go to a micro brewery and have a keg system at home. My fridge can hold 3 19litre kegs and a gas bottle lasts around a year.

Here's a link to the brewing process.

Brew By U. Brew your own beer!

I brew a low alcohol, low carb Becks imitation, just love those pilseners.

My BIL brews/makes brandy and bourbon, lot of work in that, it's OK but nothing like the real deal but close enough for half the price.

The best thing I like about these home brews is no preservatives or stuff that you dont know about. Even on the full strength stuff you dont get dry horrors or muddle headed ... I'm sure that felt like I smoked 50 cigs feeling comes from the additives.

Home brew, way to go.

How big is your gas tank? i have co2 set up but only have a 5# tank good for about 4 to 5 -15 gallon kegs. I have to buy the kegs from a liquer stor in the closest town. usualy Hienikens. but go for the cheaper beers also. that would be cool to have a micro brewery like that close to home. What do you have to pay per keg for yer own brew?

I get 52Litres of beer for $120.

The gas cylinder is 7kg or 15lb, but the beer pushes out easy when the kegs are 3/4 to full, to much gas pressure you get a frothy beer so I just have light pressure on to get the beer out no to gas it as it has plenty of gas from the shop.

Ekka, That is a cool idea. I am not a beer drinker but It would be a good idea to try that shop and give it go to see what comes up and donate the results to your buddies. It is amazing the kind of business people think of to make a buck! Thanks for the link.

They have a very good business. Repeat customers unlike our business.

Many beers to choose from, and you can tailor make your own.

Best part is no chemicals or preservatives. Also the beer is crystal clear ... triple filtered, ready in 2 weeks.

We have a brewpub very local to where I live. I've made friends with and have done tree work for The owner, the brewmaster (standing next to the log), two of the managers and a server.

I could try brewing my own, but I could never get the quality that comes outta here.

I'm thirsty

What's the 3 days to the 17th all about then?

Stick it in our Calendar above. Trev had something about a test back on the 7th ... he never bragged about passing or anything so must have flunked the test! lol

Its one of the many civilisation gifts the Irish have bestowed upon the world through the goodness each of them carry in their hearts.....I hear a tune or is it a bottle opening in the distance? (yeah very distant since my darling has yet to accomodate me with the necessaries)

Ive made 2 batches of home brew and Hard cider in the past 6 months with great success. Goes great while boiling sap for Maple syrup.

EKKA, nice set up, I need a fridge that holds two 5 gallon soda kegs. I brew beer. I have some good stout in the fridge now. well I will be back later. By the time I get around to checking out the site, its well late here in N.C. and I seem to be the only one on, since who knows what time it is elsewhere.

The kids have never given it a go, it's just taboo, period.

And because it's always there, and no big deal made about it they dont think anything of it.

Kids dont like beer that much as it's too bitter, they like sugary drinks. I didn't really develop a taste for beer till maybe late teens. Just thought it odd to drink something so sourish.

Things change though.
