Welcome! This is a great site to learn about safety, and knowing your limitations. I started out the same way. Got myself legal with the state, then a pesticide lic, then certified arborist, (But don't tell anyone here I'm ISA certified  ). Had to take some courses in Horticulture and Urban Forestry and Urban soil. School is never out!
