Happy Independence Day To All Americans-flag-p-sm.jpg

We have Australia Day, but one day we will have our own Independence Day.
(I hope)

For the 4th of July ---which is coming soon! hahahaha!

Hahaha! you're right! a friend told me it was the 4th and I believed her and didn't even look. She's blonde too so I should have known!

Anyway better early than late I guess.

SA is actually historically accurate!

The colonial congress voted to declare independance from Great Britain on the 2nd of July, which should be Independance Day. For some reason the holiday has moved to the 4th, when the final wording of the D of I was approved by congress.

It just turned the 4th here at midnight PDT about 30 minutes ago. You guys are all living in the future!

Well, the Poms aint taxing us like they did you guys, they leave us pretty much alone coz they know they're fluro white whimps.

Some hate UK that much that after whining for years they move here .... but the whining continues so we nick named them whinging poms.

So many whinging poms went back and only the sun hardened ones stayed. They love the place, but we have to keep reminding them not to tell their relatives coz you know, we don't want to be over run by fluro tubes.

Fluro tubes, lol! they are whiter than white when they first come here.
My farrier is a pom, he loves it here and will never go back he says, he's pretty tanned after 6 years, it took him awhile though.

Thanks WT! it was nice to know that although I might not be politically correct sometimes, at least I'm historically correct!

Floro tubes? That is pretty good.

I have a friend from London that arrived in the US in Dallas, Texas in the summer in a tweed jacket. It was 100 degrees and 90% humidity. He cooked. He is fair and ginger, so he cannot tan at all. He now lives in California, and goes back to London once a year to keep up his Brit accent. He is still white as a light bulb though.
