Default Florida's tyre reef gets axed

Big job pulling up this artificial reef that's gone walkabout.

Seems tyres suck, nothing grew on them.

I still can't believe it took marine scientists 40 years to figure out that tyres are bad for the aquatic life.

You don't have to be a marine biologist to know that tires don't grow squat.

Just anyone who dives. I've never seen anything more than an eel in one.

I knew of an artificial reef put in at lake macquarrie,NSW, and after reading this post looked it up on google and it seems to me they are happy with the results....???? Is it good fishing?Or mad scientist stuff?
