Default death of a pioneer-climber...

I'd like to dedicate this thread to one of the most respected climbers and moutaineers of the century...
Yesterday, Sir Edmund Hillary, first man to ever stand on the top of Everest, passed away in his home in New Zealand. At an age of 88, he suffered from cardiac arrest, inflicted by severe health problems in the last few weeks. After summiting Everest, along with sherpa-climber Tenzing Norgay, he dedicated his life for life-improvement of sherpa-climbers in the Himalayas.
As a mountaineer-climber, like some other guys out here, I will respect him as long as I live. For me, his memory will remain along with other key-role players like the late Dr. Shigo. As a last tribute I cannot how much respect I have for him, as he will be in our memories forever.

I still remember the footage when his son recently made it to the top and they broadcast it direct to dad.

Done the Kiwi's proud, RIP.

I have often thought of what was going through Sir Hillary's mind on that eventful day. I admire not only his physical toughness, but the mental toughness that he displayed. He was a true pioneer, and the world will miss him dearly. RIP
