Still on the increase here! Petrol now costs £6.05 to fill up a 5 litre combi can and for a tenner you only get 7.47ltrs of diesel. So even to do a small local job your it cost you £20 with the juice your chipper is going to use. The good thing is homeowners are now realising it costs you money before you even start the job with all rising fuel costs (well most of our customers are!).

I know what you mean. They all slowed down the pumps here so you think you are getting more but when you look at the quantity pumped, ugh. Everyone has taken to riding these doofus looking scooters around here and tons of people are riding motorcycles that never been on one before. News on tv is usually 1 or 2 killed every night.

I've a new personal policy about the price of fuel. It goes something like this: F*CK IT It's really pretty simple, and it's based on a couple simple rules. 1. I need gas to drive 2. I need to drive to do my work 3. I have absolutely zero control over gas prices 4. Everything which I grumble and complain about, anything that puts me in a bad mood, contributes to making a crappy day. So, my new "F*CK IT" policy is pretty easy. I go to the gas station. I smile, I'm nice to the clerks, I don't talk to people about the cost of gas anymore. If I need to charge extra to make a job worthwhile, then I do. If I can't do a job because I can't afford to, then I don't. Food's still on the table.... Roof is still over my head. I shower daily. I have lots of things like guns/motorcycles/quads that other people don't have. And I have the freedom to do as I damn well please. As far as I'm concerned, giving a damn about the PRICE of gas is completely useless. I'm just gonna deal with it and move on. |

Next best rip off is grocery's. Did you know an NSW enquiry into fuel pricing found those supermarkets with their servo's and that shopper docket discount were actually the most expensive prices around? True, just a recent story too. It's called squeeze out the smaller and independent operators, get market dominance then do what you damn well can to rip people off and make mountains of profit. The big Australians here like BHP, Woolworths etc are your biggest back stabbers pissing on Aussies daily!

Yeah, groceries....here they get you to take a little key ring tag that has you going to the same market every time like sheep. Then they hit you with the "loss leader" or the "bait and switch" scams. There's no bargains when you get something off from key tag that is already overpriced either.

You don't HAVE to take the key tag so they tell me it is not "true" communism, but if you get to cashier and she says "you got your key tag MF" (not) then you get harsh looks and everyone in line starts whispering about you. |

| Hey Kim, I assume you are talking about Wyndham prices? Isnt the fuel shipped from there to Kununurra? Besides. My folks used to live in Wyndham. To make it worthwhile living there it would take a lot more than 20c p/l on fuel! |
