Yeah but this wasn't the off-brands. It's Canada Dry, Pepsi, Coke, Mtn Dew, Squirt, RC, Sunkist, Barq's Root Beer, all that kinda fun stuff.

I don't buy that "Dr Thunder" crap... ugh. I hate off-brand soda.

I hate fueling up full tank after the mid week typical price rise.

Yeah, Wednesday around 9.00am they bump it up for pay day some 15 cents a litre and hold that through till Sundays.

Fuelling Mondays and Tuesdays are your cheapest days.

Anyway, $1.60/ litre this morning.

LPG was only 0.65cents though

1.219 GBP per litre here today for regular 95octane about 2.48 AUD

Now, I don't follow the news, so why are the fuel prices rising all over the world?
Fuel rose this week here and the bikers are getting hit for it. Yes it's TT madness here again, but, only for another few days. Been a few fatals again, one guy was only off the ferry for 20 minutes.

87 grade US gal was $2.49 in Lake Hughes,
$2.43 down here in the valley. Ugh... keeps going up!!

I'm buying my friend's '79 Yamaha SR500 (thumper, like Aerial's picture)
At about 50mpg, it'll be my new (well, used) means of going and doing quotes, and making any trips where the truck isn't needed.

$1.97 aus for deisel,$1.94 unleaded,i had an interesting conversation with the guy who owns 2 petrol stations where i live, from the way he was going on youd reckon he was crying poor.It now costs him 500,000 dollars to fill[every two weeks] both his tanks instead of 250,000 a year or so back. His fuels delivered by road so his margins gets cut every time the trucking company raises prices, and every time he raises the price he sells less litres so it seems even the gas station owners are feeling the pinch

Paid $64.76 for 41.59 litres today, not a bad price when diesel is hovering around $1.75-$1.80.Going to have the turbo checked on my chipper as a faulty waste gate can make them use more.

Converting Litres to US gallons ...
41.59 = 10.8134

There is a diesel theft ring operating in our city. They are hitting construction sites and businesses.

Unfortunately then they become the "victim" and you 2 guys do the time. Don't they cut the hands off of thieves in some country so they cannot steal again? I would like to live in a country like that.

Good connections make life much easier. Used to be the police chief, I went to school with him. Knew all the cops. Now I know a few and most of them are kids and have a gestapo mentality. Things have changed on their job also. Used to be we'd hang out with cops and pound a few cold ones with them as they had nothing to do. Today at noon, in broad daylight eighth of a mile from my equipment yard, guy holds up a Lee's Chicken place. Girl waitress doesn't like it so guy shoots her in the middle of her face.

If you get into a beef with a guy these days you may want to have a gun under your waist band because they may if you don't.

The reason that states like Texas and Arizona have such little crime.

You think twice about robbing a liquor store if you're not sure whether the clerk, the stock boy, the cowboy looking at chips, or the little old lady buying milk are packing or not.

Strict penalties for lawbreaking probably go a long way too.

What does this have to do with the cost of gas you say?

That's a very good question. I'm still working on it.

$4.57 US gal #87. I've been declining calls which are too far out to justify the drive in case I don't get the job now.

Thumbs down Re: Cost of gas where you live

Fuel, Maffra S/E Australia, in State of Victoria, 20/06/2008.........Diesel $1.85.9 cents per litre.

The grinder earnings/fuel use at under 2.5 litres/hour are subsidising the Diesel 4WD kilometres to jobs big time.

Drove back across the country from Missouri to California. Highest I saw was out across the desert just after crossing over into California from Arizona. It was somewhere after Needles and before Ludlow.

A gallon of US 86 grade was $5.19 / US gal
