Seems that these blokes are hoping for hand-me-downs from Oz and Nz, and so badly that they are changing the side of the road that they drive on from right to left. Funny, but here in the states we have had a big "Cash for Klunkers" government rebate to buy new cars to stimulate the auto industry and get the old smoggers off the road. They go to the recycle center though. Maybe we should be exporting them to Samoa instead? Of course, now they will be driving on the wrong side of the road... bloody wankers! There's more to this than meets the eye. For starters, why is 170,000 Samoans living in Oz and NZ leaving 200,000 in their home country? That'slike almost half their population, atleast with the Kiwi's it's only maybe 15% live that live here. Also, they dont intend to pay for the cars, they'll send it home for nothing, maybe even claim depreciation and shipping of it on their tax here, because we all know cars are cheaper in USA. To change a long time road law based on freebie hand me downs displays somethings not right, and not intelligent. Why not just allow RH drive vehicles like we allow LH drive vehicles, everyone would be safer ...... oh, but their Samoan right.

So you propose that they drive on both sides of the road, eh? Might be the right answer there politically though... Seems that they are doomed no matter what in Samoa. There is the territory of American Samoa as well, which I guess is small compared to Samoa. 3% speak English there, the rest speak Samoan. Not exactly my idea of a tropical paradise (I have lived in tropical paradises in central America and there are always turds floating around, even in paradise). Seems like the only thing close to them is Oz and Nz. But they are about as far from you as Hawaii. Very small rocks way the phuck out there in the vast Pacific. |

No, they remain driving on the side of the road they have been driving on for decades, just allow cars on the road with the steering wheel on the RH side like we allow some Yank tanks here with steering wheels on the LH side

Here you can have a car with the steering wheel on either side. No law that I am aware of against that. You have to drive on the right side of the road is all. Most cars here are made with LHD. A few British imports come over with RHD. Also the Post Office delivery vehicles all have right hand drive (so they can deliver mail along the roads a lot easier). | |
