We are currently investigating Dangerous Tree Experts and would be greatful for any assistance anyone can provide. Has anyone had current dealings with them? Do you have a contact phone number and do you know if it is still trading? | |

I have a client who sued these people and won. They were cutting palms next door close to the fence line. He had a small garden shed with roof, not real strong these sheds and you certainly do not stand on the roof of it. When they were cutting the neighbours palms they damaged the roof of his shed, apparently they stood on it. They first refused to provide their details (my customer rang me for advice). Through putting pressure on his neighbour he got their details and asked for the shed to be repaired or replaced. Neither happened so he sued them, lucky to get their details to do so. In court about 20 showed up, jst prior to court they were all yacking away in their native tongue conjuring up stories to tell to the judge. When in court there was a round-a-bout of them entering and leaving the court confusing who was there, who did the damage etc. The judge stepped in, got tough and nailed them for the $500 or so damage and ordered them to pay my customer as he had already dealt with the shed. Then they didn't pay and he pressured them more and out of the blue they paid him. I verbally quoted those palms next door but the neighbour "got a bargain" and it appears at my customers expense. There's predominantly two types getting around doing dodgy work, both are known to door knock but the Indians/Pakistanis do advertise, the others are Islanders which feature in videos and cases around this site. It is not uncommon in our job to break or damage things, almost to a point where if some-one says they never do they either do not cut trees or are a liar. Insurance excesses are often $1000 minimum so smaller damage (under $1000) is paid for out of the business's goodwill. People tend to not know this and think, "she'll be right they're insured", and then stuff like this happens, a lot.
