Did you watch the story on how they do it?

Interesting.

I think 8 shooters are selected, no-one knows who till minutes before.

All soldiers are capable and trained for the task ... being ready is not a problem, they're always ready. On TV the commander says doesn't matter which soldiers you pick they can all do it, they are all trained for this.

The 8 shooters then pick up their weapons. Only 3 weapons have real bullets, no-one knows who has live rounds or not. A reflector is put over the mans heart, the shoot command given. The captain bossman has a revolver and must finish the task if the man is not dead with one single round to the head. He walks up, inspects the body, says they have never had to use the revolver.

I cannot join in the contentment at the executions, I have never been a supporter of the death penalty and believe sadly that these three deaths will do nothing to prevent further acts of violence, if anything it will provide those who would ferment hatred with more fuel for their demented fires.

They say it might make them Martyrs though.

I have remained neutral on the debate of capital punishment, just informing the process.

That whole debate, does capital punishment work etc is a long one.

I just saw a DVD (coz you cant see videos anymore) called Felon. Now in that movie it ended with a little hard to read script that said around 3 million Americans are in jail at any given time.

Told you they're out of control!

I support the death penalty,i'm also not a whiney liberal who believes the muslims are misunderstood and that pedophiles can be cured.Sometimes the only way is to kill them.they got off easy imo.

Its a tough call Sean. On the one hand, I would be prepared to do the deed and pay for the bullet. On the other, moral issues aside, executing religious or political criminals is likely to create martyrs. I don't know what the best answer is or even if there is just one best answer. I do know I will not lose a second of sleep over those three mass murderers.
