Default Arm injuries and treatment??

Im sure many others have had the same problem but i have constant stiff muscles in my right forearm (right handed) this causes pain in the elbow when down force is applied.. lifting is ok... and occasionally wake up in the morning with a numb hand.
I have tried massage but the stiff muscle is like a rock.
I have spoken to a few people that say its caused by the vibrations from the saws.
My question is has anyone found stretches or some remedy that can ease the pain or release the tension.
Going to give physio a go this week, see if that works.

See a doctor.

Could be tennis elbow too.

The pins and needles in the morning after rest can be typical for certain muscle and tendon injuries. Overnight when you are resting and the muscle relaxed some swelling is going on putting pressure on nerves and why you feel pins and needles. Once working the blood is flowing etc and it goes away until the next morning.

This is a common thing with many people (me included) when using the saw a lot, especially one handing a 200T. You need to ensure you keep the stress down, change technique a little, share the work more, rest more .... but if it is tendon damage it's painful and will take a long time to fix, see a doctor.

Also if you have a good one down there see a "bowen therapist".

Hi - I wake up with numb hands sometimes and it's from my back - the osteopath fixes it regularly.
We have been having regular Epsom salt baths - 2 good sized cups to a bath and soaking for 20 minutes. This settles down muscle and nerves and is a general tonic. It will help you sleep and relax all your muscles. We try and have about 2 of these baths a week.
The other thing to check which can be beneficial is trigger point therapy. This is releasing knots in muscle fibres in specific points on your body and can be very helpful, a neuro-muscular therapist might be the person for trigger point therapy, but if you search online you will find someone.
Hope this is of some help to you. Good luck.

Im up for trying anything to settle the muscle down.. i have used epsom salt before but didnt think of it for this.. might try that first and the trigger point next. still gotta see what the physio says.
Interesting about the back causing the numb hand, ill have to look into that, what part of your back is the issue?
