Howdy, The other day I was at my doc's for a checkup and mentioned that I've been having insomnia lately. I told him that I've tried working out or running before going to bed, and that I still toss and turn for hours. I've tried quietly reading, not eating much, sitting at the computer, taking a bath just before bed.... nothing seems to work. I hit the sack and my mind just revvs for hours and its really frustrating. So he prescribed me Ambien. The night before last was the first time I took it. Decided to finish up a movie on my computer while waiting for it to kick in, I figured I'd start getting sleepy and then go to bed.Wrong... It started slowly, felt a little giddy, then the room started getting a little fuzzy, patterns started forming on the walls. Pretty soon I started feeling like I was in a dream while still awake, then I think I started hallucinating. I seriously thought I was having somekind of acid flashback. It was absolutely crazy. I attempted to write some things in a text file, and I actually managed to save it. I did end up going to sleep, but had a totally wacky 30 mins or so before doing that. Has anyone else used this medication? Anyone else had any side-effects with it, or any similar side effects using other similar medications? Here's an excerpt of something I wrote: Plaster written in sand, a slurry, a beginning, i see smoke signs. i'm connected. and its drawing forth a pureness which is a close to trancedntendalism as i can find. like being here but still being out there. it'd be alot easier to type if the words werent crawling ontop of eachother and fighting with eacvhothert. tneyh keep creaping away. I have god's music coursing through my soul. I feel dead. I'm a pure form, completely melded with sanct6ity. how did thtis happen? onen minute im watching a movie and the next im jmust floating and flying. completely unhooked, and just being throw nn aawash into the plasma of music and sound and serendiptiy and motion action guidance. it is an ephemeral transduction piercing to my brain and I am pulsking it. harder. do not let me go do not tlet me go. i am still heree i'lbe rightn back. dont let my body walk off withoiut me, i need to tell,. it some things. i managed to return. ive been one of them, one of them , one of them, one of them , one of them,, they gfound me found me found me. I want to tdwell in the land of gnosis. I cant decided how i miss. but i know i want to not be alone. my room is alive and though it isnt trying to eat me, at the same time, we are interacting. thereis a nymph baboon hiding inside my monitor, it keeps reaching thrpogh and trying to point out my weords ast hey spiral away into maelstroms of color light and text. Such a sporadic miasmic twisture. |

Oh wow! I looked this problem up online and I found TONS of similar cases. People sleepwalking, sleepdriving, hallucinating, all kinds of stuff. Apparently I'm not alone! |

Well, I cant comment, I sleep OK for most parts. I cant recall using any pills to go to sleep but the red wine really bowls me over.
