They got him, in some compound in Pakistan, shot in the head.

But like me I'm sure many ask, how the heck does he hide under the Pakisani's nose in a huge compound so called undetected?

So, the Paki's will now be under pressure.

Pakistan is well known to be one the main training areas and supplies many hidouts for al-qaida militants, the government is rife with bribery and corruption.
the worst part is that the americans government believe that killing him will start to bring an end the the war on terror, it wont! they have just created a martyr that the militant muslims will use to bring more troops to thier cause, if you thought it was bad before just wait until they really get going.
they use our laws against us to get where they want to be, then let the liberal lefties push them into power. then they gradually take over law by law.
it's how i would do it! they know they can't win in a straight weapons fight so they play the long game, gain control and come from other angles, just you watch the uk over the next few years they have large foot holds there now, the laws are already changing from schooling children to police arrest laws.

All sounds strangely suss to me.

Getting rid of the body that quick, in a way that cant be verified/exhumed or anything.

Barack will get re-elected now though, which was looking shaky.

If it was for real, the public celebrations of it, including Gillards comments will only bring on more terrorism in retaliation, probably more than we've seen before.

I would think no one outside of top-level inside government needed to know he was dead.

Terrorism will happen regardless, theres already been multiple failed attempts over the years, along with successful ones. Keeping the death of Osama bin Laden a secret would have been impossible. The Americans needed their victory and al Qaeda (sp) needed their influx of new recruits from his death.

My belief is he's dead and most of what we hear is kinda true.

Interesting now saying no shots returned and unarmed was Bin Lardin the video of the bedroom showed blood but no spent cases. So possible they took him alive just sayin he's dead to end the chase

I say a live captured Bin lardin would be bad for all free west as soft hostage taking and easy target bombing would continue as threats to get his release. No Country would be dumb enough to take the body or live Bin lardin anyhoo. So dump it at sea was good idea or at least sayin thats a good idea. Nay need to show a corpse, believers don't care and doubters will only say mock up.
Suspicion of the methods will continue the best outcome has been sought to put and end to this SOBs attraction to extremist.
The intel gathered will unearth many cells and expect some drone and SF work now mopping up.
Sadly some sleeper cells will survive and soft targets or even US home soil will be attacked over next few months. I friggen give up on the pakkis now, they seem 2 faced SOBs so untrust worthy just cut em off leave em behind treat em with contempt well deserved.

Oh I see, so the God Bless us nation didn't turn the other cheek but went rogue with an assassination that cost $1 trillion on foreign soil. This is further endorsed as "justice" by most western leaders even ours. Hmmm.

I believe the man with the biggest gun wins, not the one with the light. The Israelis tried all sorts of techniques to deal with suicide bombers but one of the most dramatic and effective was eye for an eye, bomb one of ours and we'll bomb your home.

In the world the entire system of "justice" relies on punishment to fit the crime, not ass wiping enlightenment.

If indeed it was hate that dealt with hate, then what was all that partying and rejoicing, it certainly did not seem as though people were remorseful?

Having a chat to another tree bloke about the sea burial, most appropriate. There's no body, no shrine, no country etc for these extremists to huddle up to.... it was a dang smart idea I think.

Porn stash found in Osama compound

A stash of pornographic videos were among material seized from Osama bin Laden's compound Pakistan, according to a US official.

The official told US broadcaster ABC News the porn was found in a wooden box in bin Laden's bedroom and included videos.

It is believed there was equipment to playback videos in the Abbottabad compound, where the al-Qaeda leader was shot dead in a US-led raid on May 2.

US Navy SEALs retrieved a video during the raid which shows bin Laden watching himself on TV inside the building.
