Default 6yo takes off in balloon and isnt found when it lands

Woke up to hearing this on the radio, it sure does explain my sad dream last night:

6-year-old missing after balloon lands in Colorado - CNN.com

a 6yo boy and his dad were making this ballon when the kid jumped in and untethered it sending him 2km up in the air. For some reason the parents didnt notify the authorities for 30 minutes. Then once the balloon landed they found a hole in the bottom and no child.

Heard a report on the radio that the boy was found hiding in a cardboard box in the attic.

I remember my little brother causing a fuss when he was young had mom in tears cause she thought some sicko had abducted him, and the little bugger was hiding under a neighbours house watching all comotion going on around him...but a very observant officer spotted him ducking for cover and it was all over barr his floggin for getting out the troops and scaring the be - jingles out of all of us.

got to wonder if it was staged?
i think the flotation device was an invention of the families or something.

anyways, glad the kid is okay.

The family is known for trying to get its 15 minutes of fame. The kid said "You guys said we did this for the show" when they found him in the box. So it looks like it was staged.

Confirmed hoax to build up some publicity for a reality show.

Both parents headed to the slammer for a short wake up call.

20 days in jail... what a phucking joke. They should have gotten at least a year or two to think about it. Of course, they cannot make any money from a book, movie or TV deal. And their legal fees will keep them broke for a very long time, as well as the $47,000 it may cost them for the rescue effort.

its America.
theres ways around that

as adults they should have gotten more time for wasting the precious time of the heroes that should have been patrolling and performing duties elsewhere.

Yep. I am on the ski patrol here, and we spent a lot of time and effort looking for lost mountaineers and getting skiers off the mountain. The judge next week will decide if the parents have to pay for the rescue efforts of the 'lost in the balloon boy' or not. Lying sacks of greedy shit should be made to pay double.

I think where it's a hoax they should pay.

It was one of the little kids that dobbed them in. LOL

Little ones cant lie but by the time they reach 10yo they can.
