For an absolutely comprehensive and regularly updated site covering all aspects of amenity pruning of palms and trees (not TD's) check out Dr Ed Gilman's florida site http://hort.ifas.ufl.edu/woody/pruning/index.htm. Full of good photos diagrams and clear explainations.

Ekka...

Did you know that in many cases, United States government documents are not copyrighted?

The federal government can't copyright its works. It's not allowed to.

Ocassionally, they may borrow photos or artwork, and if those are marked as copyrighted by a named photographer or artist, that's a bit different.

But if the photographer, artist or writers of the document are doing the work on USA government payroll time as USA government employees, that's a federal project exempt from copyright.

I found out from several landscapers at lawnsite about that, because they learned they could utilize a lot of the USA government publications for their own websites. Then I found the US copyright law page and verified it just for my own curiosity.

Yeah I know, over here the govt copyrights it's own material including the standards we have for trees, no wonder they have $billions in their coffers.
