white birch sick???

Default white birch sick???

have a white birch that leaves are turning yellow and falling off tree, already, not autumn here yet.... don't know what it could be? a fungus, or should I call an arborist.

If you are in York, as in Toronto, call me and I can come out and see. There are lots of reasons for leaves turning yellow. Without pics or a look see, who knows?

thanks for the response, but i'm in Maine, USA.... i will actually try to get some photos, maybe that would help and post them.... thanks....

Pics would definitley help- seeing the tree better yet...
Is the Birch Bronze Borer down in that area? Anyone know?

BBB might be there - also need to know if it is a native birch, or an introduced birch., Birch are tough to tell apart - pics of the leaves with a ruler, and if possible the fruiting bodies -- catkins, and a closeup of the seeds. And a shot of the bark from 8-10 feet away, and the tree's form would also help.
