Actually, I have about six oak trees all showing this blotchy discoloration, with a mix of live green and completely dead leaves on some branches. Is this oak wilt? And can I do anything about it myself in the short term? (All the arborists around here seem to be booked through early next year!) Thanks! |

If these are recent pics, it looks a lot like fall colouration in the oak leaves, before the tree shuts down for the winter? Sometimes oaks turn yellowish, or reddish before brown, Brown leaves during the season often relates to scorch ie not enough water during hot, droughty weather, The little dots suggest aphid damage - seldom a problem for the tree unless the tree is really small, and insufficient water is available.
