Tree under palm

I have a tree growing under a palm tree, will the tree knock the palm down?

Palm is a little tilted but now is growing upward.

The palm appears to be to close to the house ? I would cut those suckers out, was there a tree in that spot originally ?

It was like that when I move in like a year ago. I think their was a guyaba tree under but it got cut down then it started to grow again and its still growing.
Heres another pic its in the corner of the fences.

Probably best to keep suckers under control until they give up -- two trees growing on top of each other is never good for either.
