Default Tree Transplanting-Lignum

I am a landscape architect in the Bahamas. We are working on a team of design consultants on a new wing for our public hospital. There are two Lignum Vitae trees that need to be moved to another location as they are in the way of construction. We want to box them for two years during construction and bring them back and incorporate them into the landscape once all construction is complete. They have both been root pruned and one is scheduled to be moved tomorrow. It is in the way of excavation for the footing. It has been root pruned just over three months. Are there any specifics for container size, construction and tips for the moving process that and I can pass onto the landscape contractor? Attached is a photo of the tree prior to root pruning.

Thanks,
Tim

A great thread here:-

Large tree transplants

Try not to lift with trunk slings etc, try to lift from beneath.

If soil prep was good then people go as small as 6xDBH as a radius. So a 400mm DBH tree would have 2.4m radius root cut. But there should have been a lot of soil prep to bait the roots into that area and increase there density.

Thanks. The thread was great and very inspiring. Digging around the root ball went well today and the boxing will occur tomorrow. Any after care suggestions? The tree is to be boxed for about 2 years while construction takes place.
