Default Tree dressing

I have a branch about seven inches in diameter that broke off of my Bradford pear. Do I need to coat the damage with a tree dressing. If so , which one would you recommend. I live in zone six. I also have some damage to my Blue Spruce.

Default Re: Tree dressing

It likely needs to be pruned correctly, forget the dressing.
