Unhappy transplanted pepper tree losing leaves

We recently had our back yard done and the landscaper transplanted our pepper tree from the front yard to the back. It had already been growing in the front for a year. The landscaper said he would put a vitamin B tablet in it to prevent shock, but now after only 2weeks in the back yard it's lost nearly all it's leaves and the few that remain are all dry. Is there something I can do to help the tree to survive, or is the pepper tree beyond saving?

Sounds like shock from the transplant. First and foremost, please resist the urge to over water it. Many people kill their trees after transplants by watering them too much. Water it when the soil is dry, but otherwise let it be.

How big is the pepper tree?

Time to get another tree.
Maybe vit.B poisoning?
Seaweed is the only product I know to reduce shock.
Was this nursery stock or indeed a transplant?
I often dont bother with transplanting as the work far outweighs the benefit esp. when they die on you.
It has to be a very high value plant and machinery present or very small stock for us to even bother.

I agree with you. Transplants are usually a waste of time unless they are quite small.
