Default sick blue spruce

this was a healthy spruce till we moved it last fall, lost alot of lower branches, the new growth this spring were very small and lots of buds didnt open, plus its growing like a weeping spruce with the leader drooping, is this tree worth saving? will it recover and grow larger blue needles next year? and should i stake the drooping leader? here is some pics of it

Default Re: sick blue spruce

You should see increased leaf growth once the roots grow back, this could take another growing season or two. Because the tree was weakened when the tree was moved, its possible white pine weevils have attacked the leader.
