I have used them many times but have not bought one. They can be very useful, but they also have issues with learning a baseline for different species for comparison, the needle can bend, etc.

I'm not dissing them, poverty is a major reason i do not have one.

I have one, i've got the Resi 400, it's a good tool, does what it says on the tin and not anywhere near as expensive as the Picus..

Oh and its idiot proof, dead easy to decipher the results..

I guess it is the latter that is over 4k$? Approx how much for the former Roller? It sounds very dependable. There are many uses besides trees that can generate revenue. Is there servicing/maintenance involved with them?

How much wounding is involved. I spoke with Oliver (co. owner) about a seminar and got on their email list through Len Phillip's seminar. I have seen them many times in genl. seminars and remember the Shigometer also but haven't had the urge to own one until now is this litigious climate. Seems like a good cover your ass tool or if one finds themselves in court as mentioned.
