Hi thank you for the welcome. I would like to know if palm tree roots from alexander palms would lift a fence. Do the roots grow out or down. Thanks.

They grow both ways out and down. They are a fiberous and dont grow large in diameter like tree roots however they do grow in mass (numbers) meaning you can get some force. Doubt they'd left a fence though but they can crack retaining walls.
