I have a royal empress in its second year of growth. I got a late start on pruning and have run into a fork in the road. I would like to use the left branch as the main trunk, but am not sure if it will straighten out over time. So, will cutting off the right side of the "V" lead to permanently lopsided growth? Thanks for any help. |

Personally i would use the left and splint the leader for a few months, keep on top of pruning it, you should be able to encourage upright growth.
