| Hi, I'm looking for a little advice on pruning my poinciana tree. I know that after pruning, they do sprount and regrow, but I'm not sure as to the best place to prune, if the cut needs to be sealed (and what with), and the best time of year to do it Any help is appreciated. |

On that note here in Brisbane there would be very few "pro's" I'd trust with the task. I see more mutilation jobs than pruning in most cases. Poinciana's are not forgiving in where you prune them and they are soft wood so decay quickly and easily. You can search through the forum to find information or you can pay a pro for either doing the job or consulting to tell you what to cut and where ... either way choose smart. Just have a look at some of the horror threads of pruning in Brisbane on the forum, including large companies and govt. Where abouts in Brisbane are you?
