Unhappy Problem with Redbud Tree

I have a problem with my Redbud tree in my front yard. This is my first year living in this house, so I don't know if this is typical of this tree, but compared to the other Redbud trees in the area, it looks like it is dying. All of its leaves are turning brown and falling off, and it is still very much summer time here.

I don't know if you will be able to tell from my pictures what the problem is, but I have attached pictures of the tree, its leaves, and its bark. Please let me know if you can tell what the problem is!

I appreciate it a lot!

Pic 4 shows the frass from borers

Pic 5 shows reaction wood growth to a fungal infection.

It might be the one in the PDF attached.... but even if it is not the recommendation still holds valid.

Quote:
Management Strategies:
Intervene to minimize environmental and cultural stress on affected trees. A tree with good vitality responds physically and biochemically to inhibit the spread of the Botryosphaeria fungus beyond the initial point of infection. Irrigate during extended dry periods, fertilize if soil mineral levels are low, maintain a 2-3 inch layer of well-composted organic mulch over the root zone, and avoid branch, stem, and root damage. Remove infected branches when the weather is too cold or dry for the fungus to infect the pruning wounds, and dispose of the debris away from the trees.
Also some info in this post will help too.

Why is my Weeping Cherry weeping sap ?
