Hellow, We have about 10 years old ponciana tree, healthy looking and now a good size, but will not give us any flowers. It is on a slopy site with full sun all day and pelnty of room around. I do admit, the soil is not very good, sort of shaily, but jacarandas and flame trees are enjoying it and are in full flower now. I do put around it now and then some cow dung and cover it with cut grass as mulch. Being in sub tropical climate all ponciana trees I see are now in full bloom. Tru, we do not get much rain here, so it could be thirsty. But it never flowered even during the years when we did have plenty of rain. I do water it occassionely, but are short on water to give it bigger blast. Could some specific fertilizer help it to bloom? Or what can we do to obtain the beautiful bloom? Thanks for your advice. It can take up to 12 years or so for them to flower first time. Put some pics up.
