Default Plane Trees

Hi,
We have a couple of Plane Trees in our front garden which dont seem to be growning that well or quickly. They seem in good health. Can anyone please advise what type of fertilisers they need. We live in the Perth hills and our soil is rather heavy red clay and we live on 5 acres.

We have only live in our current residence for two (2) years.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Are you sure they are Planes, a picture may help us diagnose your concern .
platanus orientalis - Google Search

If Planes give em any old fertiliser NPK with water, they are tough a nails and hard to harm. I am guessing they are Acer or similar if poor performing

for your reply. Here are a few photos of the tree in question.

We have only been on the property 2 years and will be doing the front garden next autumn when the rains restart.

Yup thats a plane tree seems okish, may need picture from a bit back. Anyhoo feed it and water it. Has any ground excavation below the canopy been done that you know of? or have you had real extremes of weather with its establishment that may have knocked it around a tad?

Gee looks ok. vigour wise. Is the trees trunks root mass flare just below the mulch say about 50mm below mulch surface. If too deep this can be an issue, if so just gently scrape away some mulch top soil, sorta allows the root to breath.
Why is there nil turf around them rocks looks like just bare soil.
Is that water pipe grey water outlet, often some detergents can be unfriendly to trees.
Again hard to harm a plane, it can happen but that tree looks better than a few of mine.

Call us in 25 years when its a monster up to 20 X 20metres and out grown the site.

, hubby is just going to check where the root system is below the mulch and if necessary, we will take some of it away.

There isnt any garden out the front yet, we intend to plant it once autumn comes and the rain is here.

Oh forgot to mention been a wee bit of this around last few wet springs. It appears looks awful and then moves on & not much can be done but keep tree healthy or a spray a little fungicide but like a cold it mostly over before you begin treatments.
