Default Peppercorn Yellow Crystally Bits

Went out looking at trees for a job and came across this on a Peppercorn, I have nfi what it is or what it does. Ive seen it on a few Peppercorns before. Its a darkish yellow and looks kinda crystalized. It ran up the trunk until the branches starting splitting off. There were no visible cracks, wounds or anything else on the Peppercorn.

What is it?!

Well, we have bugger all of them up here but I have an idea.

I think it's a fungal disease, like pine canker.

I think it's sap.

I think there's tiny holes or fissures.

Good? Bad? Is there anything you can do about it?

Yeah there is.

You can try to spray tree and area with copper oxychloride, perhaps mauget injections or if in Vic inject the tree with fungicide as apparently you can go off label. Then you could treat the soil with trichoderma.

The fungicide you inject with can be a bit off a secret though so I will not tell on open forum what it is. If you really want to know call me on 0433132194 and take an oath of secrecy .... of course here in QLD I cannot go off label and inject the said secret fungicide.
