Hi Ecca and Everyone I am new to tree world so please forgive if I am asking about something thats already been discussed. I have a major problem with a neighbours pepper tree he thinks its a wonderfull shady tree and decroative but its very close to the fence and a lot of roots have grown through to my garden and are strangling my plants and crushing my fish pond and are advancing at a very quick rate towards my swimming pool. I now have some large shoots coming up every where I have cut some back and poisened with tree and blackberr killer but the advance continues. My neighbour will not even trim this pest of a tree and reckons its there till it dies or gets hit by lightning.I have not discussed chopping it down with just asked if he could trim it back. I did have a pepper tree in my front yard many years ago and thought it was marvellous untill it killed everything else I cut it down and poisened the roots with tree and blackberry killer it took many , many doses of 250mls blackberry killer to one litre of diesel My Question is how do I get rid of this pest of a tree without chopping it down Cheers Michael c |
