We have a Red Haven peach tree that was planted 6-years ago. The tree seems to be doing well, it is currently 9 to 10 feet tall and produced peaches 2-years ago, and this year also. The problem is the root system is very week. I still have the tree staked, because when I remove them, the wind will case the tree to lean nearly over on its side. I can grab hold of the trunk about 4-foot from the ground and easily move it 2-foot in any which direction. The soil is midwest clay, and it is on a hill so drainage is not an issue. I have apple and cherry trees in the same area that have rooted fine. Any thoughts? Thank You, Scooter |

Yes, we need pictures. I need to see the tree and the staking method.
