I have a dwarf alberta spruce that has a colorado blue spruce (I think) growing out of it. At first, I thought it was just growing very close, but when I went to remove it, I saw it is growing out of the trunk of the alberta... about 12" up, on a 3' tree. Have you seen this before? Should I just cut out the blue spruce? |

that is not a blue spruce but instead just the tree reverting to its non-dwarf nature. you can cut it out or let it grow if you have the space and do not mind a little unusual tree, personally i think they look neat when they have a reverted piece as it is a much prettier color then the dwarf stock,as you can tell it also grows a lot faster too. here is a pic of what it may look like if allowed to grow
