Question Orange Tree in West Algarve

How do I tell if my Orange tree needs watering?

Also, do I need to spray it at some time, and if so when?

Never had trees before so any help gratefully received.

Citrus tell you when they need water--the leaves will start to shrivel and droop.

Don't spray it unless you have a pest that needs spraying. Better to focus on the cultural needs of the plant. Sun, air movement, etc. Clip the dead branches off but do not be quick to remove living branches. Post a picture and you may get more specific advice.
