Mal, in all honesty you'd be better off buddying up with some-one or paying for one on one tuition. Get to know the moves, then practice over and over. Hopefully you pick one that doesn't have bad practices/habits to teach you though.

ISA web site, ( International Society of Arboriculture ) has some good videos and books for learning the basics. They also have, the art and science of practical rigging that is useful. If you search this site you will find some great stuff from Eric and others, (the trunck walk for one). When i started out i went to workshops and seminars on climbing and learned from some very good climbers. Vermeer dealers would put them on. It was well worth the price because they had an approved lesson plan. |
