name this tree/fruit....

Just bought a house and it has these trees that bear fruit. one has maroon leaves with 1 inch plum looking fruit. the other has green leaves with red cherry looking fruit. both have pits. help me out

Prunus cerasifera Nigra and cherry sounds good without a photo????
