Default Moving gum trees

I have a 1-acre block in Bundaberg, QLD; with a small copse of bloodwood/gums/black wattle; it had goats on it for many years. There are 2 gum trees (approx 8" diameter) at rear of property in area earmarked for fruit, nut trees. I've had them lopped to about 8' high. I'd like to move them to replace a couple of not very attractive black wattle in the copse area.

I'd be glad of any advice on a reasonably-cheap 'best' way to do this.

Buy new trees from a nursery n plant em & sox the gums. The transplants is do- able but hardly worth the effort and cost. With the result being a stressed out trees for many years after while you nurse your sore back.

If your still determined pre dig this summer around the trees drip line pre cutting the roots in this area. Then wait till next cool season pe dig the new holes get some mates in for a BBQ with their help dig as much root mass out lever lift out the est 150+ kg of tree root ball and drag the it to new hole and plant. The after care is daily to weekly for a while, still wanna give it a go.
Hire in a transplant tree crew they'll turn up with a tree spade machine do it easy about $2000+ for both.

Sounds good to me, thanks for the heads-up. When it comes to spending money, I'd sooner grind out the stump and pay someone to deep-rip the area.
